Take a seat on the benches outside or inside Isladan and take a break with lunch or a sweet treat.

Isladan is steeped in history from the time when the local fishing guild stored both fishing gear and large blocks of ice here to keep the catch cold. During the 1920s, the barn was used by local fishermen who hauled in cod, flatfish, and eel from the fjord.

Just a short walk away once stood Hunehals Borg, built in the 13th century. In the surrounding pastures, there are informational signs that tell more about the site’s history and life here in the past.
