Tjolöholm Castle
Welcome to one of Sweden’s most unusual castles!
It was completed in 1904, standing majestically on the site with a magnificent view of the sea: Tjolöholm Castle. State-of-the-art for its time, with details that will leave you in awe. How about sunken bathtubs, circular-flush showers, and Sweden’s first vacuum cleaner—which was hauled to the castle by horse and carriage?
Tjolöholm offers year-round experiences and is a place for both adventure and relaxation. Here you’ll find restaurants, cafés, guesthouses, a museum, and a shop. All in a stunningly beautiful setting, surrounded by the sea and the award-winning castle gardens.
There are enchanting nature trails of varying lengths through the coastal landscape, and at the large swimming area, you’ll find a beach, a pier, a play ship, and several picnic areas.
Throughout the year, several well-attended events are held, and in the large play village, children’s play and curiosity are given free rein.
